Ed Young, pastor of Fellowship Church, reminds viewers of the presence of God in a tragedy like the shooting as well has hope on how we can move forward.

Pastor Ed Young of Fellowship Church appeared on Fox News this past Saturday afternoon to offer a message of hope and perspective on what is now known as the nation's second deadliest school shooting. Interviewed by America's News HQ host Kelly Wright, Pastor Young spoke about this tragedy.
“It (the shooting) hurts the heart of God, it hurts our hearts, and I cannot even think about what people are going through, the families and loved ones of those little children and adults who were taken. And you know, the question is ‘Why?” And that's a tough question,” explains Young at the beginning of the interview.
When asked about the President's use of Scripture in his own response to the shooting, Pastor Young said, “I think it was awesome for him (President Obama) to quote Scripture. And that's what we need to do. We need to be in prayer… and we have to realize too that those little ones are in heaven with the Lord himself.”
Pastor Young goes on with a word of hope for our country and an answer to the question, “Where was God in this?”
Young said, “God's always where he's been.”
In the interview, less than a day after the terrible incident, Ed Young reminded people of the need to not blame God, but instead to turn to him for healing, “We have to move, after this grieving period, from ‘Why?' to ‘What now?'”
In a final statement of hope and perspective, Young made a reference Romans 8:28 by saying, “And the Bible tells us that God will take even hellacious things like this and use those things for his purposes.”
