On January 4, 2013, Yumi Media commented on a AL.com article by David Holloway, about how meatless appetizers do not have to be boring and flavorless.

According to the AL.com article, “Even though more and more people are adopting the vegetarian and vegan lifestyle, that doesn't mean that they don't enjoy celebrating the holiday season with friends and family in grand style.”

The article states that as a host you need to accommodate to vegetarian guests, and that it is not as hard as you may think it is. According to the article, avoiding meat does require some extra effort, however there are many resources out there to help you. The article mentions one of the best resources is an “excellent cookbook by New York Times food writer Mark Bittman titled “How to Cook Everything Vegetarian.” The name pretty much says it all.”

According to the article an online source called peasandthankyou.com offers up vegetarian appetizer recipes like spicy black bean dip, and hummus to entertain vegetarian guests with fun and flavorful choices.

Yumi Media agrees with the article, in that going vegetarian does not mean boring and tasteless. “There are plenty of vegetarian recipes and appetizers that are full of flavor and taste,” says Yumi Media representative Takara Licausi. “I recommend trying a Quorn meat alternative product, since I have never heard of any Quorn complaints.
