2500 companies from 83 countries applied, LogMyCalls one of only 24 Semi-Finalists
St. George, Utah (PRWEB) January 04, 2013
LogMyCalls, a service of ContactPoint, has been selected as a semi-finalist of the 6th Annual Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Start-Up Challenge. AWS judging panels—consisting of experts and VCs—reviewed nearly 2500 applicants from 83 countries. Only 24 have been selected as semi-finalists. ContactPoint was selected because of their next generation call tracking and conversation analytics platform LogMyCalls.
The semi-finalists were selected based on originality, creativity and likelihood of long-term financial success. The businesses also needed to address a need in the marketplace and heavily implement AWS solutions. They were carefully screened by investors, judges, and industry experts. All applicants submitted detailed product information, financial information, marketing strategy, sales plans, and other company information. Only after reviewing all of this information was LogMyCalls selected to participate.
The 6th Annual AWS Global Start-Up Challenge Finale Celebration will be held on January 24, 2013 in San Francisco. AWS will winnow the field again on January 10, selecting 12 finalists to travel to San Francisco and participate in the live presentation event. Finalists receive $10,000 in cash and services.
The Grand Prize winners—announced on January 24th—will receive over $100,000 in cash and services.
“To be a semi-finalist in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Start-Up Competition is incredible! We're in the top 24 of over 2500 companies,” ContactPoint CEO Jason Wells said. “We've received a great deal of publicity lately from our victory in the Grow America business competition to our selection as an Investor's Choice presenter. This incredible recognition from Amazon is substantial for us. To be honored in this way by Amazon is a big deal. We're hoping to be named finalists on January 10th.”
