12 MacDuffie Students Volunteer at Kate's Kitchen in Holyoke, Ma

12 MacDuffie students traveled to Holyoke, MA, for a morning of volunteer work.

On Saturday, November 17, a group of 12 MacDuffie students traveled to Holyoke, MA, for a morning of volunteer work. The 12 MacDuffie Students assisted in the serving of food to the homeless and destitute at Kate's Kitchen, a daily lunch provided by Providence Ministries. Students divided into groups, with some helping organize the stock shelves and others providing beverages, meals, and desserts to the more than 80 people, including a number of families. The MacDuffie School also made a donation of clothing items to Providence Ministries.

The MacDuffie School is a 123-year-old co-educational school for grades six through twelve offering a challenging college preparatory curriculum, as well as comprehensive fine and performing arts and athletic programs. MacDuffie's mission includes developing intellectual habits of mind, high ethical standards and respect for diversity required for becoming morally responsible and effective individuals in their personal lives, careers and in their communities and beyond.
