Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) January 03, 2013

Gillece Services' corporate office in Bridgeville, Pa, is home to an 1800 square foot American flag that waves over a hundred feet above the building each day of the year. Now, Bridgeville residents and others in the Pittsburgh region can view the latest information about the flag online and can request a personal status for the flag in memory of local fallen veterans. Members of the community, including Gillece customers, can visit the Gillece website for updates on the flag and to read blog posts about the flag's status when it has been changed.

Bridgeville residents and others around the Southwestern Pa. region have become familiar with the flag due to its large stature and visibility off of Interstate 79. People who have inquired about the flag can now turn to Gillece.com for answers to their questions and to make requests of their own. Requests will be taken to fly the flag at half-staff for fallen soldiers and veterans of the United States Armed Forces. A brief blog post will then be created to let the public know the reason behind the flag's current status.

The American flag at Gillece Services is also flown according to national statuses as ordered by the President. Circumstances like the death of a member of the U.S. government, designated national holidays, and other times of mourning across the nation call for the flag to fly at half-staff. These statuses will also be updated on the Gillece website.

Gillece Services has been flying the American flag over their office since their relocation to Bridgeville in 2010. The former Burgunder Dodge dealership originally installed the flag several years before as a patriotic gesture post-9/11. Gillece decided to carry on the tradition and to take over the flag when they moved into the building.

The flag at Gillece is replaced every few months to uphold its condition and is flown at night illuminated by floodlights. The community will be kept informed about situations such as the changing of the flag, replacement of floodlight bulbs, and things of that nature. Gillece Services' new flag updates are one type of response to a large number of inquiries from the community about the landmark flag.

For over 30 years, Gillece Services has provided Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Electrical, Waterproofing, Air Quality, and Water Quality Services to the Southwestern Pa. region in seven major counties: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington, and Westmoreland.
