Organization to discuss the benefits of improving care through cardiac cath lab accreditation
Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 03, 2013
The Accreditation for Cardiovascular Excellence, ACE, will be presenting at the Cardiovascular Summit on January 11, 2013. Christopher J. White, MD, FSCAI, FACC, FAHA, FESC, Director, ACE, and Marc Shelton, MD, FACC, will outline quality segments with their presentation, Improving Care through Catheterization Lab Accreditation.
The Cardiovascular Summit: Solutions for Thriving in a Time of Change, is a forum to educate on the expeditious changes inherent to the practice of cardiovascular medicine and surgery today. The summit provides the means to access tools, resources and expert knowledge to help effect positive change in the practice environment. Colleagues and faculty offer insight into mastering the fundamentals of practice transformation, leveraging opportunities and developing value-driven solutions. Presentations, such as Improving Care through Catheterization Lab Accreditation, strive to synthesize strategies that deliver successful navigation of health care changes. “I find a general lack of preparedness in the cardiac catheterization laboratory regarding the rapid changes in quality improvement,” states Dr. White. “It is important that physicians and laboratory management collectively organize to meet intensifying public reporting requirements and standard benchmarking mandates to minimize threatened revenue streams.” The ACE process engages physicians and assists facilities by improving the quality outcomes process through key quality indicators. Attaining third party validation with ACE offers a strategy to achieving enhanced patient care.
Sponsored by the American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF) and co-sponsored by ACPE, MedAxiom and the Cardiovascular Leadership Institute, the Cardiovascular CV Summit is convening January 10, 2013 at Aria Casino and Resort Hotel, Las Vegas, NV. Please look for ACE in the Exhibit Hall of the CV Summit meeting from Thursday, January 10, 2013 through Saturday, January 12, 2013. ACE accreditation distinguishes your cath lab. Let ACE expertise take your cath labs from good to great in achieving quality patient care.
