Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) January 02, 2013 is announcing high sales figures for One Direction tickets for the boy band's June 22 show. The group will perform at 7:30 that evening at PNC Arena in Raleigh. The city is located in the second-largest metropolitan area in the Carolinas and is conveniently situated within the state of North Carolina. The concert will also be the group's only stop in either North or South Carolina on its 2013 World Tour.

The talented group of five was formed during the seventh season of the British television show, “The X Factor.” They had been eliminated early in the process as individual performers before joining together and re-entering the competition as a group. The quintet would finish third during the season that concluded in December 2010. Nearly a year later, they released “Up All Night." That album quickly shot to the top of at least six musical charts, including the Billboard 200 in the United States and the Canadian Albums Chart.

The group released its second album, “Take Me Home,” in November. It has performed even more impressively on the charts, peaking in the No. 1 position in at least nine countries, including the United States and Canada. “Live While We're Young” is the most popular song off of that album in the United States as it has peaked in the third position on the Billboard Hot 100. However, “Little Things” has topped the UK Singles Chart. It has peaked at No. 41 in the United States.

PNC Arena is located six miles northwest of downtown Raleigh. It is also 150 miles from Charlotte, N.C., and 200 miles from Columbia, S.C. The facility has a capacity of 19,500 for concerts. The NHL's Carolina Hurricanes call the arena home, and North Carolina State University's men's basketball team also plays home contests here. The Stanley Cup Finals were held here in 2002 and 2006. Concerts have been performed at the facility by artists such as Celine Dion, Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen.
