College graduates from the class of 2013 are set to benefit from the improving jobs market along with construction workers and government employees.

Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) January 02, 2013

Pasadena, CA, January 2, 2013 - A new report from CNNMoney.com says that college graduates from the class of 2013 are set to benefit from the improving jobs market, along with construction workers and government employees.

Job search site EmploymentCrossing.com has also found 100,000 jobs in these three categories – construction, government departments and entry-level jobs.

The CNNMoney.com report states that economists believe there will be 2.36 million jobs created in 2013. EmploymentCrossing.com has already found 1.8 million job openings so far. The report's main highlight is that the class of 2013 will have an easier time finding jobs compared to the previous class.

This is because the National Association of Colleges and Employers is predicting 13 percent more hiring in 2013 based on the responses of its members to a recent survey. Currently, EmploymentCrossing.com has found 66,000 entry-level jobs. According to the site's CEO, Harrison Barnes, this shows that the job market for college graduates is already improving. “As the report says, finance and IT are indeed in high demand, in addition to business majors and mechanical engineers.”

The jobs outlook is also bright for workers in the construction industry. An economist for Moody's Analytics is predicting 100,000 new jobs due to homebuilding and other construction activities and 70,000 new government jobs. EmploymentCrossing.com has found 7,300 construction jobs and 26,000 government jobs.
