All Natural Freshness Launches High Pressure Processing (HPP) Traceability Platform

The Worlds First Fully Traceable HPP Implementation Installed by All Natural Freshness, LLC.

Three Rivers, MI (PRWEB) January 02, 2013

The food industry is constantly evolving and changing, today, at a faster pace than ever before. New technologies and food safety regulations push the envelop of change further each day. The Food Safety and Modernization Act (FSMA) grants the FDA unprecedented authority to impose fines and sanctions for non-compliance and gives the FDA the power to mandate recalls simply based on the “reasonable probability” that a food safety risk may be present.

High Pressure Processing (HPP) is a fully commercialized, emerging technology that is gaining rapid acceptance in global food manufacturing. HPP is a cold water ultra-high pressure based technology that can drastically extend the shelf-life of totally fresh products. In High Pressure Pasteurization all natural food products are submerged, in water and then subjected to incredible water pressure. Under the intense pressure the spoilage microbes are drastically reduced. The end result is a shelf life extension of between 2x and 3x the shelf life of the product in its natural state. “HPP presents an outstanding new layer of food safety for food manufacturers globally and can be implemented into all existing food manufacturing operations” states Vice President of Business Development, Jon Jurhs.

All Natural Freshness, recognizes the importance of improving food safety for all of our customers and is proud to announce their SQF (Safe Quality Food Institute) compliant, traceability platform – the HPP Intelligence Manager. ANF's traceability platform integrates seamlessly with it open database architecture with ERP and MRP systems to ensure key points of interaction throughout the HPP process to assure that each product has been traced, processed, or reworked, and documented throughout from raw ingredients, food contact packaging and materials, and other inputs all in accordance with SQF Code, 7th Edition, February 2012. "ANF's first implementation of the traceability platform will be installed in Q1 of 2013 on the Chic FresherTech Duo 200L” states President of All Natural Freshness, Gerald Ludwick.

Steve Schafer, General Manager Chic FresherTech, comments, "High Pressure Processing as a pastuerization method needs to have safe guards that prevent unprocessed product from making its way to the end user customer. We at Chic FresherTech see this solution from All Natural Freshness, LLC as viable solution to increasing customer safety."

Increased customer safety, increased food quality, and innovation are of the utmost importance in the competitive landscape of today's global food supply chain. “All Natural Freshness' end-to-end High Pressure Pasteurisation solutions assure that you implement best in class food technology, while maintaining the highest level of compliance with all food safety regulations” states Jurhs.
