‘Steep & Go', the innovative cold brew bottle infuser designed for the health conscious person on-the-go, is now available at The Tea Spot. Designed to make fresh loose tea easy and accessable for active lifestyles, this bottle brewer creates a new array of healthy beverage options.
Boulder, CO (PRWEB) December 31, 2012
The Tea Spot, loose tea and teaware company, announces today the availability of their cold brew tea infuser - Steep & Go – which turns bottled water into fresh cold brew tea. ‘Steep & Go' works with disposable water bottles and loose leaf tea to cold brew tea. This newest addition to the company's line of Steepware® has been a most popular item, selling out of stock within weeks earlier in 2012, after it was awarded Best New Product in the Innovation Category from the World Tea Expo.
‘Steep & Go' provides consumers a zero-calorie fresh-brewed iced tea option free from sweeteners and preservatives. Ready-to-Drink (RTD) bottled teas are one of the fastest growing segments of the American tea market. All shelf-stable bottled teas contain some form of preservative and most contain sweeteners as well. Some ready-to-drink (RTD) teas only contain trace amounts of real tea. ‘Steep & Go' gives consumers the option to make real, fresh brewed tea in a grab and go water bottle.
'Steep & Go' allows individuals to make fresh tea in a water bottle. The cold brew tea filter works especially well for making green tea. Infusing a loose leaf green tea in ten to fifteen minutes in a bottle of water is a convenient way to enjoy an antioxidant-rich beverage while on the go. The new Steepware® product fits The Tea Spot's goal of making loose leaf tea more accessible to the modern consumer with an active lifestyle.
The process by which the ‘Steep & Go' makes fresh cold brewed tea is reverse infusion. It filters loose tea leaves from the consumable beverage, thus allowing tea leaves maximum room to expand in the water bottle. The tea filter has a hands-free sports cap, which turns bottled water into a sport bottle.
The Tea Spot's Chief Marketing Officer, Jessica Burtenshaw, said: “Cold brewing is a great way to extract the healthy components of whole leaf tea without the bitterness, and ‘Steep & Go' now allows you to make it any time, anywhere. This innovative cold brew filter will change the way people stay hydrated by creating limitless healthy and convenient beverage options, at a fraction of the cost of RTD beverages after just a few uses. Whether it's used by the student on-the-go, the office commuter, or by someone trying to temper their soda consumption, 'Steep & Go' creates healthy flavorful beverage options fit for any modern lifestyle."
‘Steep & Go' won the 2012 Best New Product award in the Innovation Category from the 2012 World Tea Expo. This reusable cold brew tea infuser is available in three vibrant colors: Ocean, Violet and Green Tea, with a suggested retail price (SRP) of $6.95. It is available at select retailers as well as at The Tea Spot's online tea store at theteaspot.com.
