NASDAQ Welcomes Gladstone Land Corporation (LAND) to The NASDAQ Stock Market

NEW YORK, Jan. 29, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. NDAQ announced today that the trading of Gladstone Land Corporation LAND commenced on The NASDAQ Stock Market.

Gladstone Land is an externally-managed real estate company formed to invest in farmland located in major agricultural markets throughout the United States. The company focuses on annual row crop properties that provide increasing rental income over the term of the lease, along with steady appreciation of the land. In addition to currently owning twelve farms, leased to six separate corporate and independent farmer tenants, Gladstone Land also owns two cooler buildings and a facility utilized for storage and packing. Gladstone Land is currently seeking to buy additional farms throughout the United States and is interested in potentially acquiring properties related to farming, such as additional storage facilitates, processing plants, packaging buildings and distribution centers.
