Saint Mary's Hospital and Anthelio® Partner on IT Services

Saint Mary's Hospital, Waterbury, Connecticut, and Anthelio Healthcare Solutions today announced an information technology (IT) services and management partnership in which Saint Mary's and Anthelio® will work together to provide more efficient, enhanced and cost-effective IT services to Saint Mary's. Saint Mary's Hospital is an acute care community teaching hospital that has served Greater Waterbury, CT for more than 100 years. Anthelio is a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare IT services and business process solutions.

Through the alliance, the partners will work together to create a more sophisticated, user-friendly IT platform utilizing Anthelio's IT and clinical expertise and its “service, service, service” approach. The primary goal of the partnership is to provide Saint Mary's physicians with all necessary information and IT tools to enable them to provide patient care in a very convenient and effective manner at all times.

"Together with Anthelio, we will improve the state of our IT and the systems that support our clinical and financial operations," said Chad Wable, Saint Mary's Hospital President and CEO. "By establishing this unique IT services partnership, we will drive our IT service, systems and processes forward and prepare us for our bright future ahead."

Saint Mary's Hospital was founded in 1907 by the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Chambery. Today, its clinical quality and financial measures place it among the highest performing hospitals in Connecticut, based upon CMS core measure performance and five year average margin. The hospital continues to expand its network of services, forging alliances with other key healthcare providers, and exploring new ways to comfort and cure.

"Anthelio is excited to align with Saint Mary's Hospital because of its strong focus on the need to utilize sophisticated IT services to provide better quality, more efficient and more cost-effective healthcare. We're looking forward to supporting and enhancing the excellent patient care services provided by Saint Mary's physicians, nurses and clinicians.” said Rick Kneipper, Anthelio's CEO (Interim) and Co-Founder.

The Saint Mary's/Anthelio partnership brings substantial value to both partners-- Saint Mary's will have access to IT resources to enable improvement in IT operations and system utilization, and Anthelio will have a partner willing to utilize Anthelio's state of the art service capabilities to achieve higher levels of physician satisfaction, interoperability and “meaningful use” attainment.
