Modern Tots Launches Newly Designed Site to Accommodate Mobile Devices

Modern Tots has always been known for having contemporary kids furniture and innovative children's products. Now, they are trying to add site design to the list. They have a totally new feel to their site with it's new design, along with a blog and soon to be reviews section.

The modern kids furniture and toys retailer, Modern Tots, rolled out a brand new site design for this year's holiday season. It has a real fresh look and is even more modern looking than the previous design. The company says that customers were looking for a new look, and the old design limited the ability to show products to consumers in a way would engage them and allow them to have true functionality on any type of device, especially mobile. According to the company, they are seeing more and more visitors from mobile and tablet devices, so the need to be able to navigate and view items on those devices is becoming very important. On one particular item which was introduced by the brand, Sodura, 90% of their visits to their new Aero Toddler bed were from Facebook and about half of those were from a mobile device.

Along with a newly designed website, has also launched a new blog. The blog consists of articles about the products they offer and inside looks at the brands that they carry. They hope to provide customers with useful information about the toys, furniture, clothes etc that they may be interested in purchasing for their children.

"We've been a little hesitant to have a blog as part of the site for several reasons, but the primary reason being that we haven't seen a lot of retailers that have blogs worth reading. And, we just don't like to do things that aren't worth while here at Modern Tots. But, more recently, we've been trying to add more and more items that aren't available in other sites and brands that are just coming onto the scene, like Sodura and Sprout. We've even started to add exclusive items that are made specifically for our customers. We really wanted to have a place within the site where we could really introduce these kinds of things to our customers,and give them a real inside view of the new brands and up and comers. And, to coincide with that, we also want to start giving customer a third party review or detailed look at some of our more interesting pieces. Give them a different opinion that is objective and let's them really know what they are getting when the receive the item from Modern Tots," says founder Carmen.
