SolarTek Survey Shows People Take Action Against Rising Electricity Rates

TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 4, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SolarTek conducted an anonymous survey inquiring into people's feelings about their electricity prices, energy efficiency and renewables. Utility rates are on the rise and people are really starting to take notice. The response was overwhelming. 84% of respondents said that they felt electric rates were going to continue to rise and had looked into alternatives to lower their energy usage. A majority of the respondents had already changed their personal energy usage by focussing on their own habits. Half had even invested in home improvements and energy efficient appliances to help keep usage low. It's very clear that people are realizing that electrical rates are rising and trying to do something to alleviate the problem.
