Mugello circuit wins "Best Prix 2011"
Paolo Poli, CEO of the International Mugello circuit in Tuscany, received the "Best "Prix Award 2011" at yesterday's 2012 FIM gala in Valencia. The prize is awarded every year for the best circuit in the world regarding the organisation of a MotoGP race. This is the fifth time that the Tuscan race track receives this prestigious award (1995, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2011), placing the Ferrari-owned circuit on the top spot in this special classification. The award was handed over by Hervè Poncharal, President of IRTA, the MotoGP team association
The Mugello circuit, home of the Italian Motorcycle Grand Prix, is one of the most impressive, modern and safe tracks in the world. On the over 5-kilometre-long track in the Tuscan hills and woods, some of the world's leading teams and manufacturers test both their two- and four-wheel vehicles. The circuit's infrastructures are built using the latest tecnologies and are constantly renewed and updated.
