A 2012 report from Panorama Consulting Group states that 63 percent of companies experienced problems during new software implementations. Cann argues that, in addition to technology, process and people are crucial elements of construction software projects, with an emphasis on ‘people,' stating that, if a contractor's employees are not adequately prepared for the changing business practices or aren't properly trained to take advantage of the new software, promised benefits may not materialize. He then goes on to outline the steps for ensuring that this doesn't happen.
