Dr. Dwight Webb challenges religious claims for absolute authority in spiritual matters

Portsmouth, NH (PRWEB) November 05, 2012

Enslaved to the traditions and rituals of corrupt, violent religious institutions for thousands of years, how can we hope to find true spirituality and faith?

Dr. Dwight Webb, author of Building Heaven on Earth, suggests that human spirituality has been claimed by the dominance of the three major religions. In response, followers have come to accept this state of affairs with the cost of failing to become acquainted with their own soul.

“By disengaging true spirituality from the religions to which we have relinquished our spiritual life, I have tried very hard to interest readers in considering that all of life comes from a natural god,” says Webb.

Although he does not consider himself an atheist, Webb continues to challenge the rigidities of major religions that are counterproductive in society today. Embracing the idea that spiritual evolution within is a force for the common good, Webb exposes the downfalls of organized belief systems including religious wars and killing, sexual abuse, lies, scandals, and cover-ups.

“Building Heaven on Earth offers hope as it invites readers to look within to take responsibility for their own spiritual development,” Webb says. “The book is about establishing common bonds with our brothers and sisters of all nations and religious cultures as we learn to live together in peace.”
