6 Money Saving Tips for your T-shirt Printing Order

Tshirt printing is a great way to promote your brand, business or event. Icon Printing has created a buyers guide of printer's tips explaining how you can save money off your order.

Following consumer requests, Icon Printing has created a checklist of money saving tips for your next t-shirt printing order to ensure you get the best value for money.

1. Research your garment options.
There are plenty of great quality t-shirts that are not as expensive as some of the other brands out there. If you are on a budget you can still get popular, quality ring-spun tshirts at a very good price.

2. Choose white garments.
When t-shirt printing onto white or natural colour garments a base layer is not required therefore the print costs are less onto whites.

3. Reduce the number of colours in your design.
When t-shirt screen printing each colour in the design requires a seperate screen and ink cost, so the more colours in your design the higher the cost.

4. Choose fewer print positions.
Every screenprint or embroidery position requires extra set up costs. By choosing to customise just one position (left chest for example), rather than left chest and centre back you save money.

5. Get the right quantity.
There are price breaks at certain quantities. By adding 3 shirts to your overall order could save you quite a bit. Typical price breaks are 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 etc. Ask your printer to clarify their price breaks for you.

6. Take advantage of reordering.
With screen printing and embroidery there are one time set up costs only required on the first run.  If you reorder the same design again you typically won't have to pay the set up costs again.
