Online Survey to Offer Big Insight into Small Membership Organizations


Wild Apricot launches study to shed light on voluneteer-led membership groups.

Does size matter – when it comes to membership organizations?

That's one of the questions that Toronto company Wild Apricot hopes to answer through an online survey they launched today.

Through this survey, Wild Apricot hopes to gather BIG insight into SMALL membership organizations - shedding light on the world of the small and often volunteer-led membership group.

For example, they want to find out:

– Who is managing these groups and what roles volunteers play? (e.g. in terms of managing: website; renewals; member contact database; events, etc.)
– How are small membership organizations funded?
– What's the key challenge small organizations face in building their membership?

Jay Moonah, Noisy Apricot and VP of Marketing, notes, "we recognize that the volunteers and staff of many small membership organizations often work in isolation, without the opportunity to network and share information with their peers. So we thought this survey would be a good way of facilitating information sharing so these groups can benchmark against their peers and learn best practices from the community through our final survey report."    

Wild Apricot hopes to have achieve participation from small membership organizations across North America in order to gain insight to better serve these growing organizations. Participants who complete the online survey can register to receive a copy of the final survey report.
