Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) November 01, 2012

Laura Bradley Rede of Minneapolis, announced the upcoming release of her new YA vampire story, "Crossfire," the second of her series, "Darkride." The story is the tale of Ander McNair, the favorite son of a famous monster-hunting family, who is bitten by a werewolf, which turns his world upside down. The hunter is now the hunted with a love triangle involved. Sound familiar? It isn't. "Once Upon a Twilight" reviewed the story: "I really loved this book with its fairy tale qualities mixed with real life/fantasy. It was done beautifully and it still seemed fresh and new in this ever growing popular genre."

Laura has been a vampire fan since childhood, starting with a visit from an actress starring in "The Passion of Dracula" local stage play to her 5th grade history class. She is certainly not alone. Vampire fiction is very popular with the young adult crowd. Search the internet for "vampire" and the list is endless. reviewer at Amazon succinctly states, "Vampire books have taken the world by storm, with authors like Stephanie Meyer, P.C. Cast and Kristin Scott to name a few, bringing out best sellers with every book release. Perhaps it's also the fascination for paranormal or the mystery, mixed with the romance with the protagonists in their teens."

Laura started her career with the short story "Epiphany," published in the L. Ron Presents Writers of the Future volume 24 (Galaxy Press), back in 2008, and since has been published several short stories and poetry, in addition to "Darkride." "Crossfire" will be published in December.
