AutoNation Announces October 2012 Retail New Vehicle Unit Sales of 20,958
- October 2012 retail new vehicle unit sales increased 13% versus October 2011
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AutoNation, Inc. (NYSE: AN), America's largest automotive retailer, today announced that its retail new vehicle unit sales in October 2012, as reported to the applicable automotive manufacturers, totaled 20,958, an increase of 13% as compared to October 2011.
Retail new vehicle unit sales in October 2012 for AutoNation's operating segments were as follows:
- 6,396 for Domestic, up 10% versus October 2011,
- 9,980 for Import, up 15% versus October 2011, and
- 4,582 for Premium Luxury, up 12% versus October 2011.
There were 26 selling days in October 2012 and October 2011.
AutoNation expects to report November 2012 retail new vehicle unit sales on December 4, 2012.
