PowerStream Receives Excellence, Innovation & Wellness Award


TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 2, 2012) - PowerStream was recognized for outstanding achievement by Excellence Canada, a not-for-profit, independent organization that assists private and public sector organizations implement programs of excellence, at the 2012 Canada Awards for Excellence held today at the Westin Harbour Castle.

PowerStream was named a Silver Award Recipient for Excellence, Innovation, and Wellness, an award based on Excellence Canada's Progressive Excellence Program(R). The award acknowledges the company's outstanding performance, leadership and commitment to excellence in areas such as innovation, quality, leadership, customer experience, workplace wellness and a Healthy Workplace(R) as well as being a socially, environmentally and economically responsible corporate citizen.

The achievement is also a result of the company's efforts in attaining Level 2 of the Progressive Excellence Program, an initiative which helps organizations to develop and measure excellence. By participating in the Progressive Excellence Program, PowerStream's goal is to become a best-in-class organization through the implementation of a sustainable management framework for continuous improvement and overall business excellence that supports and aligns with the company's corporate strategy.

Workplace(R)) award category is based on the Excellence Canada Standards
for Excellence, Innovation and Wellness. Due to the comprehensive nature
of the Standard, organizations cannot apply directly for this award, but
must achieve at least Level 2 in the Progressive Excellence Program.
Organizations reaching Progressive Excellence Program Level 2 will be
eligible for either a Silver certificate, at Level 3 the Canada Awards
for Excellence Gold trophy, and at Level 4, the Canada Awards for
Excellent Platinum trophy.
