Analysis Group Ranks First in "Large Company" Category in Boston Globe's 2012 "Top Places to Work" Poll

Analysis Group, the largest privately held economic consulting firm in the country, has ranked first in the “large company” category in the Boston Globe's 2012 “Top Places to Work” in Massachusetts poll, based on input from employees. The firm has appeared in the poll the past five years and was in the top 10 in 2009 and 2010.

In a profile accompanying the survey results, Analysis Group was recognized for providing employees with mentoring, training, and other development opportunities. For instance, “the firm prides itself on helping employees prepare for graduate school, holding workshops on how to apply and study for the entrance examinations. And when workers agree to return to the company after grad school — as about a third wind up doing — Analysis Group typically agrees to pay for roughly half the tuition,” the Globe reported.

“This honor accrues to all our employees, across all our offices,” said President and CEO Martha S. Samuelson. “We have worked hard to create a challenging yet supportive environment in which people feel they can do their best work. Year in and year out, we are focused on maintaining a collaborative culture, which is critical to our ability to serve clients effectively.”

The annual “Top Places to Work” poll honors employers in four size groups: small, medium, large, and largest. The survey recognizes the most progressive companies in Massachusetts, based on employees' opinions about the compensation, leadership, appreciation, career opportunities, and management practices in their organizations. Private companies and nonprofits as well as publicly held businesses are included in the analysis. This year's results are based on a survey of more than 81,000 employees representing more than 300 organizations. Employee responses were collected by WorkPlace Dynamics, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention.

Analysis Group also was recently named the ninth-best consulting firm in the country to work for in the Vault Consulting 50 survey. The firm has been in Vault's top 10 for the past three years.
