Kinn Releases Infographic of U.S. Presidents and Their Pets
In a just-released infographic, Kinn Inc. shows the relationship between U.S. presidents and their pets and gives a humorous look at the four-legged companions that have called 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue home.
“On Election Day tomorrow, U.S. voters will elect more than the iconic elephant and donkey political animals,” said Alex McKinnon, founder and chief executive officer, Kinn. “They may vote in a First Pet, a tradition that goes back to our founding president. Although dogs and cats have been the most popular pets, the White House has sometimes resembled a zoo or wild animal preserve.”
Judging by the list of animals U.S. presidents and their families have owned, the White House is a very wild place. Tigers, bear cubs and sheep all have roamed the White House grounds, joined by more domesticated cats, dogs, rabbits and fish, according to the “Hail to the Paw” infographic Kinn produced.
