The STE-6104C-T unit allows almost any serial device to be connected to a new or existing Ethernet network giving the user the ability to easily monitor, manage and control industrial automation field devices remotely.

The STE-6104C-T, serial to Ethernet device server has flexible configuration options enabling it to be setup over Ethernet by Telnet, Web browser, Serial console, or other utilities. It is packaged in a rugged metal housing for DIN rail or wall mount with 9-48VDC wide power input range, and has a wide operating temperature of -40° C to 80° C for harsher environments.

The STE-6104C-T comes equipped with Virtual COM software that provides existing Windows based applications to access a serial device by mapping to a remote serial server via Ethernet. It is also used as a field device to connect Ethernet through TCP/IP protocol directly
