London (PRWEB UK) 31 October 2012

Emma Nissim ( is a fashion and textile artist drawing inspiration from nature, culture and active lifestyles. All of these elements are brought together to create a beautifully designed, locally silk-screen printed clothing range from her vibrant studio at Cockpit Arts Deptford.

She has established an excellent reputation selling out of her storefront in the heart of Greenwich Market where many visitors pass through, both locals and tourist alike, for the past 4 years.

The current exciting collection includes raglan and tunic tops, stylish dresses and wraps in a range of sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton, sustainably grown bamboo viscose, Lenzing Modal® and Lenzing Tencel®, combined with Emma's popular print designs. All of her designs are personal to her, such as Alfie her dog, to her striking Chrysanthemum especially designed for her sister's wedding, and of course her customer favourites, the Butterfly and Bikes. An example of the process can be seen here:

The fabric selection forms a very important part of her production process, researching and testing with suppliers for a blend of comfort and wear, whilst maintaining an ethos of sustainability of the materials. Emma and her team are passionate about searching for the next best fabric: "Our ultimate goal is to find or create our perfect fabric that is super soft to the skin and of the highest quality to make you feel great. Easy to wear and care for, yet eco-friendly and ethically made."

Emma Nissim strives to be responsible: “Our vision is to help build a fashion forward industry with a low carbon footprint and where everyone is treated fairly. We choose garments made with a FairWear certificate. At Emma Nissim we believe we are part of the solution and that we are a link within the massive chain of fabric production and garment manufacturing. Our vision is to create high quality stylish garments through sustainable production and socially positive action.

Moving into the ecommerce sphere, her website will also make her products available to an international audience, as a result of an increasing number of overseas email requests and popularity with tourists for her products. She has designed it, hand-printed it, models it and sells it in her own store.
