A group of Holdens' legal secretaries attended BigHand's User Conference in November 2011 and were impressed by the demonstration of BigHand's integration with Dragon NaturallySpeaking™ speech recognition software; prompting a secretary driven implementation of the technology for all fee-earners.
Fee-earners now record dictations with Olympus Directrec devices and send them for automated transcription via BigHand's speech recognition integration. Holdens' secretaries receive the automatically transcribed text with the original voice file so they can proof and manipulate the document. Within just two months of implementing the software, fee-earners' speech recognition accuracy levels are extremely high.
