West Seattle's Pinup Salon welcomes stylist and ethnic hair specialist Shayla Robinson. Shayla's expertise in weaves and other textured hair services adds to an already diverse and talented team of stylists, offering an even more robust menu of ethnic hair services.

Pinup Salon, with locations in Ravenna and West Seattle, is proud to offer an intimate hair salon experience for people who appreciate a quality one-on-one styling without the pressure of a high-traffic salon. Serving both men and women, Pinup services includes all types of cuts, stylings, colorings, treatments, textures, waxing, nails and makeup, as well as extensions and on-site service.

With an extensive and well rounded knowledge base of how to work with all types of hair, Pinup Salon is most proud of the personal connection that their staff quickly and naturally forms with their clients.

Owner and self proclaimed "Ring Leader" Jen loves the diversity she gets to experience in this line of work. Honing her active listening skills and selecting stylists for her team that do the same has helped to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere where the client always comes first.

"Every client has a different story and different identity they want their hair to evoke," says Jen when asked about the most rewarding aspects of salon work. "Adding Shayla to the team helps expand our ethnic hair services, while her terrific eye for what works for any hair texture makes her a real asset."

Shayla Robinson, a Kenmore Washington native, graduated in the top of her class from the Seattle Vocational Institute and was originally offered an externship at Pinup Salon. While she loves to do cuts and colors, Shayla's real passion is working on textured hair services, such as relaxers, press and curls, locks, twists, cornrows, quick weaves and extensions.
