Itzkowich and Berg Announce New Yikes! Business Networking Workshop

Yikes! WORKSHOP co-creators, Rick Itzkowich of the USA and Phil Berg of the UK, are combining their specialties in a half-day business networking workshop with the goal of taking it to the global business community.

San Diego, Calif. (PRWEB) October 31, 2012

Speakers Rick Itzkowich and Phil Berg are pleased to announce a new business networking workshop. Billed as the Yikes! WORKSHOP the half-day program targets entrepreneurs, small business owners and sales professionals. The workshop will kick off on Tuesday, Nov. 13 in San Diego and Thursday, Nov. 15 in Houston. The workshop name “Yikes!” suggests the dilemma business professionals find themselves in as they ride online and offline networking roller coasters without producing any results. Co-presenters Rick Itzkowich and Phil Berg met at a conference they were both speaking at in Dubai. They both agreed the marketplace needed a workshop to address ways to maximize the time and money invested in business networking.

Typically offline networking events result in business card collections or smartphone bumps without a plan for following up. Online business social portal LinkedIn becomes a parking lot for a person's photograph and brief resume. With a goal to combine their unique perspectives and tried and proven solutions, the Yikes! WORKSHOP was created. The workshop is designed for organizations or companies to bring to their city or for meeting planners to include in their corporate conference agenda.

The Yikes! WORKSHOP covers the following:

  •     Learning how to fish in the right pond—importance of goal setting and qualifying.
  •     Getting more business from existing clients—before you head out the door.
  •     Incorporating easy-to-use referral marketing strategies online and offline.
  •     Gaining a big picture understanding of the power of using LinkedIn strategically for referrals, sales and personal branding.
  •     Integrating tools and tactics to engage and follow up with prospects and current clients.

“Here's the deal—people go to networking events and bring back 10 to 15 cards. They post their photo and short bio on LinkedIn. Then 95% sit back and wonder if either are worthwhile efforts because the phone isn't ringing,” said Yikes! co-creator, Rick Itzkowich. “By the end of the workshop Phil and I are certain attendees will say ‘ah, now I get it.' If not, we guarantee their money back.”

“Phil's quality training has been instrumental in helping BNI members take their networking to the next level, I would highly recommend you take advantage of his workshops,” said Dr. Ivan Misner, New York Times Bestselling Author and Founder & Chairman BNI and Referral Institute.
