Swimovate Launches New Facebook App for Swimmers
The new Facebook app from Swimovate makes it easy to share swim data with friends and analyze progress over time.
(PRWEB) October 31, 2012
Swimovate Ltd, manufacturers of the Poolmate Pro swimming watch, recently launched a new Facebook app for swimmers. The new app allows swimmers to log a swim, view data from past swims in tables and graphs, share data with friends and view friend's swim information. The Swimovate Facebook app was developed in response to customer demand for the ability to share swim data details, including laps, strokes and distance. Lisa Irlam of Swimovate said, “A lot of our customers asked for a way of sharing their swims with friends, and Facebook is now so widely used that it was the ideal platform. We are committed to bringing swimming into the 21st century and this is a great way to bring swim logging and analysis to many, many swimmers.”
The Swimovate app doesn't require the use of the Swimovate Poolmate Pro watch, and is suitable for all levels of swimmers. To log a swim session, swimmers simply enter the pool length, number of laps, strokes and time taken and the app calculates other statistics about the swim, including calories, speed and stroke rate. It posts each swim's details to the swimmer's Facebook feed and stores the data. The swimmer can then view and compare past swims to see their progress visually in charts and tables.
Swimovate has been providing innovative training tools like the Poolmate and Poolmate Pro swimming watch for swimmers since 2007. The company is made up of serious athletes who understand what swimmers need when it comes to maximizing training efforts and getting accurate session data. Swimovate consists of an enthusiastic group of talented entrepreneurs who also happen to be triathletes. The team has competed in a variety of athletic events, including Ironman events around the world, and is dedicated to helping swimmers of all abilities achieve their goals.
