BC Egg Marketing Board's Operations Are Sunny-Side Up With Help From Plus Computer Solutions
Sage Business Partner, Plus Computer Solutions, implements a robust and flexible business management solution for the complex requirements of the BC Egg Marketing Board
Burnaby, British Columbia (PRWEB) October 30, 2012
The BC Egg Marketing Board (BCEMB) is responsible for planning and controlling British Columbia's egg production, to ensure supply meets fluctuating demand. BCEMB works with more than 130 egg producers, overseeing 2.7 million chickens and more than 800 million eggs.
When BCEMB sought to retire its legacy financial system in favour of a modern ERP solution, it selected Sage 300 ERP. “Sage 300 ERP has a strong reputation for ease of use, reliability, and for its powerful reporting capabilities,” explains Anne Marie Butler, director of finance and administration for BCEMB. “The open architecture of Sage 300 ERP also facilitates the interface to our IBM Cognos TM1 software and our IBM producer portal application.”
BCEMB first worked with a different Sage Authorized Partner, but when that partner struggled with the conversion from the legacy system, BCEMB engaged Plus. “Plus had the depth and breadth of experience that we needed to successfully convert our data and take us live,” recalls Butler. “We have a small staff so we depend on professional consultants for many roles. Plus consultants value-engineer everything they do, ensuring we are not paying for technology that doesn't deliver a real return on our investment.”
