Mother-Daughter Evening at Everest Academy: A Perfect Night

Everest Academy of Lemont offers mothers and daughters a time to strengthen family bonds at their "Treasured Moments" dinner and scrapbooking night.

Lemont, IL (PRWEB) October 30, 2012

The annual “Mother & Daughter Evening” at Everest Academy helps strengthen family relationships through quality time in a relaxed atmosphere. The popular event, traditionally held near the beginning of the school year, gives mothers and daughters time to be together to enjoy activities and do some spiritual reflection. This year the theme for the evening was “Treasured Moments”, and activities included dinner, games, and scrapbooking.

During the evening, the mothers listened to a reflection entitled “Faith Lift” about promoting a faith-filled family environment in their daily lives. The girls reflected together about what their moms had taught them, and what they loved most about their moms. One student shared: “I love my mom because she is pretty.” Another reflected that: “My mom teaches me to love”. Both mothers and daughters were very happy to spend time making scrapbooks together. One mother commented afterward: “I have been waiting to scrapbook for two years with my daughter; I'm so happy to finally have time to do it. This was a perfect night!”

Families are very important at Everest Academy, and the school strives to offer many family events during the school year, as well as encouraging family involvement in the education process. The mother-daughter evening especially helps mothers and daughters strengthen their relationship through the opportunity of spending quality time together in a relaxing and faith-filled atmosphere. Besides the mother-daughter evening, there is also a “Day for Dads”, father-son campout, grandparents day, and seasonal family fun nights, to name a few.
