Senior Home Owner Saved from Foreclosure
Meals on Wheels and Senior Outreach Services helped a senior receive a home mortagage modification and avoid foreclosure.

The Geriatric Care Management team of Meals on Wheels and Senior Outreach Services (MOWSOS) began working with a senior in July. Her home was in foreclosure as she was seemingly trapped in a skyrocketing mortgage payment of $2798 pr month.
The MOWSOS team was able to intervene and through many hours of paperwork and phone calls, was able to halt the foreclosure. The team helped the senior secure a new mortgage payment of $681.22 per month.
Geriatric Care Managers assist seniors with many issues, including healthcare, home ownership and landlord-tennant issues. Services are provided free of charge to seniors living in Contra Costa County, CA.
Meals on Wheels and Senior Outreach Services operates six different programs, all focusing on keeping seniors healthy and living independently for as long as possible.
