Annapolis, MD (PRWEB) October 26, 2012
Some silent films deserve a great score and Carl Theodor Dreyer's 1928 film “The Passion of Joan of Arc” is one of those. Groundbreaking and modern in its feel, this film is consistently on most lists of the best films ever made. Happily, it has a great score in Richard Einhorn's “Voices of Light,” which will be performed with the film on November 9 (7:30 p.m.) and 10 (8 p.m.) by the Annapolis Chorale and Annapolis Chamber Orchestra under the direction of J. Ernest Green at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts. Among the soloists joining the Chorale for these two performances are soprano Amy Cofield Williamson, tenor Frederic Rey and baritone David Murray.
Friday's casual performance includes a post-concert question-and-answer session with Mr. Green and guest artists. Saturday's concert features a pre-concert talk by Mr. Green at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
