Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 26, 2012

At a time when economic woes dominate American media and politics, it is heartening to learn that some businesses are finding success even amidst troubled times. C2 Education, a national network of academic support centers, is experiencing astronomic growth this year. Last week, C2 Education celebrated two Grand Openings, bringing the total number of new center openings to X in 2012.

The first of the Grand Openings took place in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. C2's CEO, David Kim, and COO, Jamie Davidson, were on hand for the Brentwood opening. Also in attendance were representatives from the local chambers of commerce.

“We're very excited to be in Brentwood after many years of successfully helping students in nearby downtown Los Angeles,” said Mr. David Kim. “We have a long record of helping local students gain admission at private high schools such as Harvard-Westlake and Flintridge Prep. We have also helped countless students matriculate to UC schools and to elite colleges like Stanford and Harvard. Over the years, we've developed a long standing relationship with UCLA as we have utilized their programs to gain college admissions counseling certification for our program directors across the country. With so many ties to the local education community, we are thrilled to be able to bring our programs to a neighborhood like Brentwood, which is home to a group of residents who are unique in their focus on quality education.”

On the heels of the Brentwood event came a second Grand Opening in Danville, a suburb of San Francisco, CA. C2 Education's COO, Jamie Davidson, and Danville's Mayor, Newell Arnerich, both spoke at the event, which was attended by local residents and several C2 Education representatives.

During the event, Mr. Jamie Davidson said, “We recently attended the annual NACAC [National Association for College Admissions Counseling] conference and had the opportunity to interact with and listen to local guidance counselors from this area. With a varied of companies also attending the conference, we were able to evaluate numerous education technologies. While we are constantly looking to leverage the latest tools to best drive student outcomes, here at C2 our primary focus will continue to be on the in-person relationships among our top-industry tutors and our students, as well as the relationships between their parents and our dedicated program directors. We believe that this personable and customized approach will continue to drive our industry-leading student outcomes.”

These Grand Openings represent the latest in a string of explosive growth at C2 Education. In the coming months, C2 Education has plans to expand further, advancing C2's mission, which is to bring higher academic standards and access to educational opportunities to communities across the country.”

C2 Education was founded as an in-home tutoring service run out of a Harvard dorm room in 1997. From those humble beginnings, C2 has grown to include more than 120 tutoring centers across the country serving thousands of students each week. C2 students enjoy fully customized programs, one-on-one interaction with highly qualified teachers, and the support needed to succeed throughout their educational careers. C2's results speak for themselves: C2 students increase their SAT scores by an average of 350 points, 100% of C2 students pass state standardized tests, and 85% of C2 students go on to attend a top 50 college or university.
