Dr. Rod J. Rohrich and Department of Plastic Surgery Hosts Special Plastic Surgery Reception
Dallas plastic surgeons discuss breakthroughs in cosmetic medicine at special reception open to the public.
(PRWEB) October 25, 2012
The Department of Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center will be hosting a special event on November 1st, 2012 which will explore recent developments in cosmetic medicine. The event will include discussions on current trends and new options in surgical procedures such as face lifts, breast augmentation, and rhinoplasty in Dallas, as well as non-surgical treatments such as laser resurfacing, fillers, and injectables.
The event, titled "The Top 10 Plastic Surgery Breakthroughs" will be held Thursday, November 1st at the UT Southwestern Medical Center's Outpatient Building from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event, which is open to the public, will be led by chairman Dr. Rod J. Rohrich and vice-chairman Dr. Jeffrey M. Kenkel.
The gathering will feature discussions on current advances in cosmetic surgery, each followed by question and answer segments. Afterwards, attendees will break into smaller groups to speak informally with plastic surgeons on more specific topics. Fourteen board certified plastic surgeons will participate with a wide range of experience in all aspects of plastic surgery.
Dr. Rohrich believes outreach events such as this one are important to help patients make well informed choices about cosmetic surgery. "Finding out the facts from board-certified plastic surgeons can help you make smart decisions to enhance your look. It's important to know what is safe and effective," Dr. Rohrich explains.
This event is part of a series of events held several times a year in which the UT Southwestern plastic surgery faculty share information on the latest surgical options and non-invasive treatments in plastic surgery while addressing myths and misconceptions about cosmetic treatments.
Anyone interested in attending this event should RSVP by calling (214) 645-3774 or emailing confirm(at)utsouthwestern(dot)edu. There is no cost to attend but space is limited.
