Leading aged care podiatry company, Aged Foot Care, is proud to have been recognised in the 2012 list of Australia's top 100 fastest growing companies, the BRW Fast 100.

The BRW Fast 100 is the annual guide to Australia's fastest-growing small and medium businesses that looks at young, dynamic entrepreneurs and the secrets of their success.

Damien James, Founder and CEO of Aged Foot Care said that being recognised by one of Australia's most authoritative and popular business publications was an honour. “We're incredibly excited to have been included in the BRW Fast 100, because it's great recognition of the dedication and effort our team puts in to our aged care services each and every day.”

Aged Foot Care is Australia's most respected podiatry services provider, and the country's largest podiatry company, treating over 3,000 clients across the nation each week.

The company delivered 50% growth over the last three years and a turnover of over $3.3 million in the last financial year, an amazing turnaround from six years ago when James' finances and good name were ruined by a serial fraudster.

James, who considered walking away from the industry after he was forced to shut down two businesses, said the national recognition was so much sweeter having learnt his lesson from a devastating setback. “I went from running two of Australia's largest podiatry companies to being flat broke. My reputation was in tatters and my life was a mess," James said.

The 37-year-old looks back with mixed emotions, “One thing the experience taught me was how to attract and keep the best people. We have the rare ability to find podiatrists who love aged care and who stick around which has become our competitive advantage. This brings about a nurturing culture for our clients who are able to build and maintain a trusting relationship with their carer.

This award is a testament to our vision of helping to create a world where residents living in aged care are joyous and optimistic and a reflection of the hard work that has gone on behind the scenes. In recent years we've endeavoured to strengthen all the business fundamentals by building solid systems and financial reporting mechanisms as well as creating incredible recruitment processes and an enviable staff culture,” said James.

BRW said that this year's survey received a record number of entries, and admission to the list was extremely competitive.

Damien James thanked his team for their combined efforts in contributing to the continued growth of Aged Foot Care and its customers. “We'd also like to thank our clients, who are our biggest fans, and congratulate all of the winners on this prestigious list.
