(NASDAQ: INTX), a leading provider of corporate identity theft risk management services, today announced its consumer identity theft protection product, IDENTITY GUARD® PLATINUM, has earned Javelin's “Best In Class Overall” and “Best In Prevention” ratings in the 2012 Identity Protection Services Scorecard. This year's scorecard evaluated 16 major identity protection products from financial institutions, credit bureaus, and independent ID protection vendors and evaluated them based on the best consumer-facing prevention, detection, and resolution capabilities. In order to capture the growth of the industry and accurately evaluate the effectiveness of products, Javelin has yet again significantly evolved the scorecard criteria to reflect innovation in the consumer‐facing portion of each product. Javelin has also refined its Prevention, Detection, and Resolution™ model to suit ID protection services.

The IDENTITY GUARD® PLATINUM product received full credit for several of its key features, including: triple-bureau credit monitoring, Internet monitoring, public records monitoring, providing fraud insurance, and for providing customers with access to certified fraud specialists who are specially trained in helping customers get back on track if their identity is stolen. The product also scored well for offering an optional service for kids called kID SureSM which helps parents monitor and protect kids from identity theft.
