Google and Samsung Collaborating to Design next Generation Tablet reports Orlando Design District

(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 28, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA- Google and Samsung are collaborating to create and market a 10.1-inch, high-end Android Nexus tablet. It will be co-branded as a Google and Samsung product, reports claim.

CNET, a website dedicated to all things technology, was able to interview Richard Shim, an analyst at NPD Display Search.

In the interview, he said, The 10.1-inch tablet will boast a pixel density that is higher than Apple's third-generation iPad. Rumor has it that the machine will have a e a 2560x1600 display with about 299 pixels per inch (PPI),

Shim calls the machine a high-end device, and says that it will sell for more than Googles existing $199 Nexus 7 and its upcoming low-end, $99 machine.

A Nasdaq story points that These predictions might sound far-fetched (particularly the claim about a $99 tablet), but Shim is no stranger to making outrageous predictions,

In July he announced with an unprecedented level of confidence that Amazon would build at least three new Kindle Fire tablets, all of which came true, so perhaps this product will have a huge impact.

Google is not new to making new programs and taking chances. It broke it routine and promoted its newly offered Nexus 7 tablets on its usually very plain search home page. Under the Google Search and I'm Feeling Lucky buttons the company posted the tag line: "The playground is open.

An animation of the Nexus 7 was also featured. Samsung is also doing well, with a surprising higher quarterly profit for the three-month period ending in September, with operating profits up 91% to 8.10 trillion.
