Cirro Announces Integration Partnership with Tableau

Cirro, the company that enables simplified Big Data access, exploration, and analysis across heterogeneous data sources, today announced a strategic partnership with Tableau Software, the global leader in rapid-fire business intelligence software. Available immediately, the Cirro-Tableau integration offers Tableau customers complete on-the-fly access and integration to analyze Hadoop and other enterprise data sources to deliver new insights and business analytics with unprecedented visual analysis.

“Every day analysts struggle with self-service data exploration across a variety of relational sources and now they must also contend with the explosive growth of unstructured data sources,” said Mark Theissen, CEO, Cirro. “Analysts are now liberated to conduct iterative, self-service big data exploration and the ability to join disparate data sources leveraging Tableau's brilliant visual analytics capabilities.”

Cirro is the execution platform that seamlessly facilitates the joining of relational or Hadoop data while optimizing, orchestrating, and managing the overall query processing. Data analysts are now free to explore and uncover value by iteratively asking questions about their data regardless of the data type, location, or environment. Within Cirro, data views are created that are accessible to Tableau. In Tableau, views look the same, whether they're directly accessing a table in a database or joining multiple tables in relational databases or Hadoop behind the scenes. It is now easy to share, interact, and analyze any data on any platform at any time all leveraging Tableau's rich visual analytics capabilities.

Bringing Big Data to the Desktop – No Matter Where it is

“Self-service access to Big Data and integration of it with traditional data sources is one of the most significant hurdles facing analysts today,” states Krishna Roy, Analyst Enterprise Software, 451 Research. “Cirro removes this barrier and makes it easy to join and visualize multi-structured data in Tableau.”

“We have a robust data ecosystem that drives our online gaming and media business with everything from relational data sources, Hadoop, and other custom internal systems that drive our strategic analytics platform,” said Scott Moran, Director of Business Intelligence, Wild Tangent. “The Cirro-Tableau integration is a ‘game-changing' approach to visualizing multi-structured big data and integrating it with other data sources.”

“We're very excited about our partnership with Cirro,” said Dan Jewett, Vice President of Product Management at Tableau Software. “Our customers can now easily perform enterprise class joins between relational and Hadoop data sources to get an integrated view of their business.”
