Trumpet Behavioral Health Now Providing Families in Los Angeles Autism Treatment Services

Families in need of autism treatment and insurance expertise in Los Angeles area now have access to Trumpet Behavioral Health, a local provider with 30 years of experience in California.

Trumpet Behavioral Health ℠ (TBH) today announced that Daniel Powell, M.A., MFT, BCBA®, Heather Powell, M.A., and the 40 professionals from their autism treatment practice have joined its team.

The additions stem from Trumpet Behavioral Health's recent acquisition of Applied Behavioral Therapies, Inc. (ABT) of Woodland Hills, Calif. The practice serves individuals with autism and other developmental delays and their families in the San Fernando Valley, Antelope Valley, and Santa Clarita areas.

Mr. and Mrs. Powell started ABT three years ago to provide family-centered treatment for individuals with autism. Currently, the successful practice primarily serves families receiving public funding for autism therapy.

But with hundreds of families across Los Angeles set to receive much-needed insurance coverage for autism treatment starting July 1, 2012, the Powells said they were looking for help to keep up with demand.

“With recent news of autism now affecting one in 88 children – combined with the California autism insurance reform that's coming – we know a lot of families are in dire need of our help,” said Daniel Powell, TBH's new Board Certified Clinical Director. “Both Heather and I felt the best way to ensure we can help even more families was to join a larger provider with health insurance experience and additional clinical resources.”

TBH is a leading U.S. provider of behavioral treatment for children and adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs), developmental delays, and other exceptional needs. TBH has over 30 years of experience providing Applied Behavior Analysis therapy (ABA) to families in California.
