Nashville, Tennessee (PRWEB) March 06, 2012

As libraries develop new models for today's patrons, more systems such as Columbus Metropolitan Library are selecting Ingram Content Group for comprehensive library supply solutions.

“As we evolve to meet the needs of our customers, it's important for us to work with a leader in library supply that has resources and relevant solutions to support a large and dynamic system like ours,” said Robin Nesbitt, Technical Services Director, Columbus Metropolitan Library. “Having worked with Ingram for some time, their commitment to customer care, the selection of content available to us, and the customized plan developed for our libraries made Ingram the clear choice to be our new supplier of all print materials. We look forward to our expanded work together.”

Ingram Content Group has been named as the primary vendor of print materials for Columbus Metropolitan Library, one of the most-used library systems in the United States. The system includes their main library and 20 branches. In the last year, library customers borrowed more than 15 million items, made 7 million visits to the library and asked 1.2 million reference questions.

“Ingram is pleased to expand our work with the Columbus system,” said Rich Rosy, Vice President and General Manager, Ingram Content Group library services. “Libraries have long relied on Ingram's library and distribution expertise and our breadth of content. We will continue to invest and create the tools libraries need to help customers like Columbus Metro Libraries best serve the public.”

Ingram continues to grow the number of large public library systems it works with in North America. Ingram's library services division also supplies materials to the Chicago Public Library with more than 70 branches, the New York Public Library and its 87 branches, the Denver Public Library and its 24 branches and the Dallas Public Library and its 28 branches.
