Boston-Power Founder and International Chairman to Present at Top Industry Events

Boston-Power, Inc., the rapidly growing provider of next-generation lithium-ion battery cells, modules and systems, today announced that Founder and International Chairman Dr. Christina Lampe-Önnerud will address a range of key business, technology, investment and environmental trends at three separate events next month.

• During the opening keynote session at the WPI Venture Forum in Worcester on Tuesday, April 10, Dr. Lampe-Önnerud will share her insights in domestic and global manufacturing, and discuss why some companies elect to source manufacturing in China.
• On Friday, April 27, Dr. Lampe-Önnerud will deliver the closing keynote at the Women Presidents' Organization (WPO) Annual International Conference in Atlanta, GA. Sharing her experiences, she will discuss what it takes to build a company from a “market maker” to one that is increasingly well positioned for global leadership in its sector.
• Dr. Lampe-Önnerud will participate in a roundtable discussion on “Emerging Energy Issues and Technologies” at the 3^rd Annual Massachusetts Sustainable Economy Conference in Boston on Monday, April 30. The session will provide an understanding of key issues concerning the Massachusetts energy sector and will profile promising, emerging energy-efficient technologies.

On a related note, at last week's Wall Street Journal ECO:nomics conference, Dr. Lampe- Önnerud served as a moderator for a roundtable luncheon discussion about energy storage and environmentally sustainable technologies. Among the premier conferences of its kind, she has presented, moderated and assisted in developing the agenda for the event during the past couple of years.

A long-standing advocate of entrepreneurism, Dr. Lampe-Önnerud is also serving as a judge for the prestigious 2012 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year New England program. She was honored to receive the award herself in 2009 and since then has participated in the program's regional event, as well as its national conference held each November.
