BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Harvard Business School (HBS) will host The Women's Leadership Forum: Innovation Strategies for a Changing World from May 7-11, 2012 on the HBS campus. In a period of rapid technological change that is transforming the global economy, The Women's Leadership Forum: Innovation Strategies for a Changing World will help prepare businesswomen to lead with versatility and purpose, and will underscore the importance of cultivating leadership from within their organizations. Participants in the program will examine essential topics including negotiation, service management, ethics and leading change.

“It is vital that today's leaders promote a business model that feeds off of diversity and stresses contribution across all levels,” said David B. Yoffie, Max and Doris Starr Professor of International Business Administration and Senior Associate Dean and Chair of Executive Education. “The Women's Leadership Forum will help businesswomen develop a roadmap for introducing innovation strategies that will result in demonstrable, positive growth and create a business model prepared to lead internal and external change.”

The program – designed for accomplished businesswomen – will highlight the most recent research on gender in the workplace and explore best practices for successfully empowering female executives to lead across all areas of a business or nonprofit. The Women's Leadership Forum: Innovation Strategies for a Changing World will emphasize personal development and leadership growth through daily meetings with a Board of Advisers, facilitated by professional coach, who will work closely with each participant to identify personal strengths and areas for improvement, to enrich and broaden each executive's leadership skill sets.

“Each participant will meet daily with a Board of Advisers who will help them develop a concrete plan of action for a compelling management challenge they face,” said Janice H. Hammond, Jesse Philips Professor of Manufacturing and faculty chair of The Women's Leadership Forum: Innovation Strategies for a Changing World. “These daily meetings, supplemented with case studies and HBS faculty drawing on a wealth of professional experience, will equip executives with proven tactics for strengthening leadership approaches.”
