Basis Technologies International Announces Release of Transport Express Version 5.0

Transport Express 5.0 is designed to address a subject hot on the lips of every CIO in today's economic climate – Productivity and Time to Market.

It was clear that the early 2012 release of Transport Express had to address this need. Originally scheduled for delivery in April 2012, the release has been completed a whole 2 months ahead of schedule and was launched on the 1st February 2012.

The new version introduces new features ‘My Today,' ‘Delivery Snapshot,' ‘SAP GUI Integration,' ‘Remedy Connector' and ‘Merge Reconciliation.'

The My Today functionality has been designed in collaboration with a number of Transport Express customers who use Agile Development. My Today brings together the important decisions, actions and approvals that each person needs to focus on ‘Today' in order to maintain momentum with their next SAP release.

“Our tests of My Today have been nothing short of spectacular – we obviously use Transport Express internally to deliver our own software releases and the fact that 5.0 was delivered a whole 2 months ahead of schedule demonstrates how effective My Today is. I have never worked in such a fast paced development cycle as this one and My Today has been central to that,” says Craig Oliver, CTO of Basis Technologies.

“Operational Reporting was an area where our customers were telling us we needed to improve if we were to help them deliver faster release cycles,” says James Roberts. “They wanted high level overview reports and the ability to drill down into the detail. We met with the most experienced Change & Release Managers in the industry and simply modeled the way they work in tools like Excel – we simply replicated what they did in Transport Express and then made it even better, creating the ‘Delivery Snapshot' feature.”
