Global Education Announces Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

BEIJING, Sept. 28, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Global Education & Technology Group Limited GEDU ("Global Education" or the "Company"), the largest test preparation provider for the International English Language Testing System ("IELTS") and a leading provider of educational courses and related services in China, today announced the appointment of Ms. Rita Zheng Liu as chief financial officer, effective October 10, 2011.

Ms. Liu has nearly 20 years' experience in corporate finance and management. Prior to joining Global Education, she was a director and chief financial officer of Dehaier Medical Systems Ltd DHRM, which she worked at from 2003, seeing the company through its IPO and subsequent development as a U.S.-listed company. Before Dehaier Medical, Ms. Liu served in senior financial management positions at Lehman Brown Investment Consulting (China) Co. and Bio-Rad Laboratory Instruments (China) Co., Ltd. Ms. Liu received her bachelor's degree from Renmin University of China in 1992 and master's degree in Business Administration from Peking University in 2001. Ms. Liu is a Public Accountant of the Institute of Public Accountants, a member of The Association for Accountants and Financial Professionals in Business, a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a member of the Institute of Financial Accountants.
