Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc. Increases Its Support for Association of Pool & Spa Professionals via Sponsorship and Council Participation

Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc. (Zodiac) will participate as a sponsor in the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) International Awards of Excellence (AOE) to be held this November. In addition, Zodiac's Vice President of Business Development, Vance Gillette, has been appointed by the Association to its Builders Council. Gillette, an industry icon who has been in the pool industry for more than 40 years, is the only appointee from a pool products manufacturing company to sit on the Builders Council.

The APSP is an international trade organization focused on providing education and business success for its members. APSP will host its 41^st annual award ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in conjunction with the 2011 International Pool|Spa|Patio Expo. This is the first time Zodiac will sponsor the APSP International Awards of Excellence, which honor outstanding work in the pool and spa industry. The award entries are evaluated by the association's judging panel, which includes representatives from all segments in the pool and spa industry. Awards are given in various categories to recognize the world's most beautiful and creative work in pool and spa installations.

The members of this council are responsible for identifying and recommending programs, services and products appropriate for master builders. Gillette, with nearly 45 years of experience in the pool industry, has been an active advocate of the positive consumer experience at pools. He is a perfect fit for the Builders Council because he consistently promotes best practices, safety-first building standards and education.
