Baker Promotes Thomas Donatelli to Assistant Vice President Pittsburgh Construction Services

Michael Baker Jr., Inc., a unit of Michael Baker Corporation BKR, is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas E. Donatelli, P.E., to assistant vice president overseeing the Pittsburgh Construction Services group. He has been and will continue to be responsible for all aspects of operations for the Pittsburgh Construction Services group including business development and growth, financial management, staffing, planning and overall leadership.

Donatelli joined Baker in 2008 as operations manager in Construction Services. He has more than 30 years of experience in civil engineering on highway, bridge, and building projects involving design, construction management, cost estimating and contract/specification writing. He was the director for the Department of Public Works for Allegheny County and has worked for several administrations. He was responsible for leading the Department to become the first agency in Pennsylvania to become certified by the American Public Works Association. Prior to that, he held various positions in both the public and private sectors including ten years with PennDOT.

Donatelli received his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Point Park College and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania. He will be President of the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania in 2012 and has held various positions and memberships with the following organizations: American Society of Civil Engineers, American Society of Highway Engineers, American Public Works Association, and the American Arbitration Association.
