IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Phoenix Energy Technologies announced today that they have been nominated as one of five finalists for the CleanTech OC Company of the Year Award. The winner will be named at the CleanTech OC 2011 Conference and Expo Monday, September 12, at the Hyatt Regency in Irvine, California.

Phoenix Energy Technologies, a leading provider of Enterprise Energy Management software and services, has experienced a breakout year in 2011. Re-headquartered from New Jersey to Irvine, California, earlier this year, Phoenix has focused its 2011 efforts around infrastructure and product development, rounding out their full-service energy management suite.

The Phoenix product and services suite includes EMS monitoring service, software services, and advanced analytics services, giving customers a range of options that reduce energy consumption, as well as reduce energy and facility maintenance costs. Most noteworthy is the 2011 launch of PhoenixET's flagship product, EnterpriseDX. This software-as-a-service tool seamlessly integrates facility data, building control data, billing data, contextual data (such as weather and schedules), POS data, and more into a single web-based platform. No new hardware and no on-site installation are required to utilize the EnterpriseDX SaaS system, a point of difference that significantly lowers speed and cost to entry.

As Phoenix successfully moves toward the upper echelon of the growing energy management software sector, continued community engagement and involvement remain a top priority. “It is an honor to be recognized by CleanTech OC,” said Lisa M. Varga, CEO and co-founder of PhoenixET. “As a growing Orange County business, supporting innovation and growth in the CleanTech sector through community involvement and relationship building is instrumental to our continued successes. It has been an exciting year at Phoenix, and we appreciate CleanTech OC for supporting and recognizing our forward momentum.”

In keeping with the CleanTech OC 2011 Theme – that the CleanTech industry has truly reached a tipping point in Orange County – Phoenix is on the cusp of breaking loose in the Enterprise Energy Management space. “We have a great field of finalists for 2011 Company of the Year,” said Gregory Trimarche, Chairman and co-founder of CleanTech OC. “These companies are at the tipping point, and regardless of who ends up the winner, this is a group to watch in 2012, and each is truly a success story.”
