Energtek Subsidiary Initiates Works on Bosnia and Herzegovina Filling Station

PR Newswire

NEW YORK, June 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --

Station will fulfill $10M Annual Ongoing Supply Contracts

Energtek Inc. (Pink Sheets: EGTK), a leader in hi-tech natural gas solutions and Adsorbed Natural Gas (ANG) technology, announced today that the company's newly formed subsidiary Energtek Herz d.o.o. Mostar has initiated works on the first filling station connected to the transmission system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.  The station located in the area of Sarajevo will enable energy consumers in Bosnia and Herzegovina who are not connected to pipeline infrastructure to begin utilizing localized, cost-efficient natural gas resources.

The filling station will enable Energtek to supply natural gas to Aluminij d.d. Mostar ( http://www.aluminij.ba ) and to FEAL d.o.o. Sirokij-Brijeg ( http://www.feal.ba ).  The contracts are expected to yield revenues of $10,000,000 revenues annually.  The contract with Aluminij d.d. Mostar is for a 10-year period.

Gas will be supplied to the filling station by the government-controlled BH Gas d.o.o. ( http://www.bh-gas.ba ), Bosnia and Herzegovina's sole natural gas transmission provider.  Energtek recently reported the signing of a natural gas purchase agreement with BH Gas.

Energtek Herz d.o.o. Mostar has signed a contract for the purchase of natural gas compressors from SAFE Gas Technology s.r.l. ( http://www.safe-ita.com ) for the  filling station.  Compressors are the primary component of a natural gas filling station.  These pieces of major industrial equipment typically have long supply times, and are a major component of the station's construction.  SAFE Gas Technology s.r.l., headquartered in San Giovanni in Persiceto (BO), Italy, is among the World's leading suppliers of CNG refueling stations.

"The filling station provides a strategic competitive advantage to our subsidiary, establishing it as the leading supplier of natural gas to the large number of potential consumers who are not connected to the regional pipeline system," said Lev Zaidenberg, CEO of Energtek. "The purchase of the compressor is the major step necessary in order to have a functional filling station ready within the shortest possible time frame.  We are working on several steps in parallel to enable the ongoing transport and supply of natural gas to our customers as soon as possible."
